Hjernø relocates to new headquarters

It is with great pleasure we are able to announce that Hjerno Tool Factory will relocate to new and bigger premises during the fall of 2017 in order to pursue our ambitious growth strategy.

Geographically, the future headquarters will be located only half a kilometer from our current address in the northwestern part of Odense, but from a business perspective it is a massive leap for Hjerno.

With almost 4.000 m2 the new headquarters will be more than double the size of the present facilities at Hans Egedes Vej.

”This provides us with a fantastic opportunity to add more machines to our production, not to mention expand our test casting unit and test center. Thus, the relocation fits in perfectly with our declared goal of manufacturing production-ready tools that can be part of our customers’ production from day one,” says managing director Aage Agergaard, who has been looking for the perfect premises for a long time.

Room for more employees
Moreover, the purpose of the relocation is to provide an even better daily environment for Hjerno’s current 50 people, Aage Agergaard explains. He expects to hire more people in the coming years.

”It is my belief that we will need to expand the staff, because nowadays tool factories must be big and powerful enough to meet customer demands, including large series of tools. This requires more toolmakers as well as more project managers,” states Aage Agergaard.

The relocation will take place over the fall and will not affect the daily operation of Hjerno.
