New injection moulding machine for our test centre

With the purchase of a brand new Arburg 470 Golden Electric injection moulding machine Hjerno Tool Factory is further increasing the capacity in our test centre.

In the test centre we test and phase-in our tools to make sure that they are ready for production from the very first day they are delivered to the customer.

"In order to carry out our test moulding under conditions that resemble the customer’s own environment as much as possible, we have, among other things, several worm sizes for our machines and a lot of other equipment. Thus, we achieve even better opportunities to serve our customers," explains managing director Aage Agergaard.

The customer gets to take home the process parameters
The new machine arrives in week 43 and brings the total number of injection moulding machines in the test centre up to five machines, of which the smallest weighs 40 tons and the largest weighs 200 tons.

Two skilled plastic processing technicians are responsible for the quality assurance of the finished tools down to the last detail, and here the machine from Arburg – one of the world's largest manufacturers of injection moulding machines – provides additional benefits for the customers.

"As many of our customers use Arburg machines themselves, they can reuse our process parameters on their own machines. This means that we can let them take home the process parameters on a digital file," explains Aage Agergaard.

He emphasizes that the test centre's injection moulding machines exclusively produce test samples for self-regulation. But still it is important to have a high quality on all machines.
